Dr. Dave Gennert, PhD

Dave is a professional science writer for Insilico Medicine, an AI-based biopharmaceutical company with an end-to-end integrated pipeline for drug discovery and development for aging, fibrosis, and oncology. Dave was formerly an editor for Blood Cancer Discovery, a peer-reviewed science research journal published by the American Association for Cancer Research.  

He graduated in 2021 from the Department of Genetics at Stanford University with a PhD in Genetics.  His research focused on the epigenetics of the immune system, specifically in dysfunctional CAR T cells.  Dave is an active science communicator, having written for science-related company blogs and contributing as a producer and host of the science news podcast, Goggles Optional (archive).
